Not over

No, it really is not over, it is just the end to a new beginning. We are still excited to keep working at this healthly lifestyle. I have noticed a difference in myself, and in all of you. Lets keep up what we have started. It is too easy to stop but lets not do that. DEAL???? looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion. Also, lets plan another 5 k together, I think we need to do these things together and keep in touch. This challange has given me more lifetime memories and lifetime friends. Isn't it great how we have all bonded and each of us know what the others are going through. thanks for the friendships, and letsnot loose touch with each other. Loads of love to each of you.

Walked the 5K route

What fun it was to walk the route with many of our workout friends!! It made the time go by so quickly talking with everyone. We are all like a family now, we go through the same things, healthly eating then awful eating, weight loss, weight gain, good day with exercise, sore day from exercising, on and on. BUT... WE ARE ALL DOING IT, AND GUESS WHAT??/ WE ARE ALL WINNERS.

Sad

I read everyone's blogs and we are all so sad that this is ending. Hard to believe it is almost over, seems like we are just starting. I have really enjoyed this and know you all have as well. Also, what great new friends we have met. This is one of those life experiences that you never forget! This is for sure the best thing that could have happened to us and for us. Well we will all have to still see each other at the gym when this is over. Deal???

Keep going

Yes, that's what we are all doing. Just keep going!! I am finding that I really enjoy being pushed to the limit at the gym. If I wasn't at the gym with Riley I know that I would not push myself so hard. I have noticed changes in everyone!! There is alot less of all of us isn't there? We are excited to have the BBQ after this is done, still working out the dates, but we will let everyone know as soon as we know. Ha ha ha. Keep up the great job and KEEP GOING>

Walking outside

Oh my gosh, I went walking outside on a trail, with lots of ups and downs (hills). My grandkids rode their bikes and Grandma walked. It was really ALOT harder than walking on the treadmill. I was sooo surprised. Made me wonder about the run for red, as it will be harder than I thought. The grandkids thought it was fun to have grandma try to run to catch up to them though, ha ha ha. BUT... imagine what I would have done before all this?? They probally would have found me laying down on the trail. :)

I can run

Yesterday Ihad an injured employee and actually ran to his side, yes I did say run. Also, I was able to kneel down at his side and actually get back up without having to hold on to something or someone to get up. I did all this without even realizing it. After the fact it hit me that I had done the up and down without even thinking about it. Now this is really quite an accomplishment for me. I really now know how much benifit I get from all this exercising!!! Like many others I am not noticing a lot of loss on the scale, but all the other results make up for that. (I even ran today to get out of the rain, WOW).

Busy, busy, busy

Been too long since I have blogged. I have been busy taking care of my daughter with a blown out knee, ended up having a blood clot from knee to ankle. She is on shots daily to try and thin out the clot, and on coumadin for 5-6 months. Have to delay her surgery for 2 months due to the meds. She needs to stay down, and she has 3 kids. Her baby 8 months old also came down with the chicken pox, yep can you believe that. So needless to say I have not had a minute to write. Had a great work out today and felt good to release all the tension. Tomorrow is a Riley day, and he said last week he was going to work us harder!! What more can I do. Oh dear, guess we will see. ha ha ha. Loving this great weather, and makes me so happy and I noticed everyone else was happier also. See you all later

Here we go again

Another week, here we come. We did get our exercise in over the week end, but its always harder when we get to the gym for some reason. Has anyone else noticed this? Also another question I have is: Why is it so hard to climb up the stairs? I can do the treadmill for an hour and still get out of breath walking up those darn stairs, what is up with that?

Seeing results

We are seeing some results, not so much with the weight loss, but in our clothes, and in the inches. It feels good to have other people notice the difference. I am so glad to be able to do all these work out, esp. the ones with Riley. He keeps me going, and I feel alot better. Just 2 months ago, I was not even doing exercise! This is really one of the best things that could have happened to and for us.

Wonderful Husband!

I am so excited, Eric just ordered me a new treadmill! We had an old one and it quit working. He knows how much I enjoy the treadmill, and the use it will get so I have one on the way for home. Thanks honey you are great, and I am also very proud of all your hard work!! It was fun today at the gym I was back in sync, and was going to town. It is always good to talk with everyone, and to know that we are all having the same challenges. I have to remember to take my Aleve tomorrow as it is a Rilely day. Everyone have a good week.

Hello to everyone. Yes, Aleve is my new best friend. Sore muscles sure like it also. What is that famous saying "no pain no gain". I had a rough day today with the exercises, I normally can go, go,go, but today I was off. Riley says not too worry that we all have these days once in awhile. But, yes I will be back tomorrow!

Music

Have you noticed how music helps you keep going? I can pump it up with the music I listen to. I had my daughter put fast paced music on my mp3 and I love it. Eric listens to Jimmy Buffett (although I like him, that would not pump me up) ha ha ha., I like Black Eyed Peas and Lady GAGA. Yes, even at my age that's what I like. So my advise to everyone, pump it up with MUSIC.

We had a wonderful week end in St George, food and all. Ha ha ha. So now today back on track with the healthy eating. Actually felt pretty good to get on the treadmill today. Also, saw lots of friends at the gym today, everyone doing so well with the exercise, keep it up. So here goes another week and were on track!!!

Happy St Patty's Day to all

I hope you all wore your green today! I have been walking without holding on for the past couple of days and this is quite an accomplishment for me, and wow do you get a much better work out. Thanks to Riley for "spotting" me when I lose my balance! Eric had a little "spell" yesterday while working out, so our session was cut short, but he was back to normal today. Once again am I so thankfull for this program to improve our health, and his heart. Keep up the good work to everyone.

P.S.

Thanks to everyone for your kind statements on my grandchildren. My grandson had his tooth pulled today, and actually feels better. Still on his ABX for another week. My grandaughter (from a different family) will see the orthopedic MD tomorrow am to see what the treatment will be, I think she will only need a cast on for about 2 months. She is a trooper, just upset because she "can't even wash her hair". She is 6 years old and has hair down to her bumm. Ha ha Thanks again to everyone!!

Encouragement

Ihave so many friends and family who are encouraging me along. It makes it so much better to have a support system. Also, seeing everyone at the gym and your smiles andthe " good going's" help as well. Thank you much. We are doing better with the WW diet and have seen better results, so we are glad that we decided to follow that program. I am already worried about this coming week end because we are going out of town to visit friends, and I am hoping we don't blow it too much. :(

Hectic weekend

Our granddaughter fell off her bunk bed and broke her arm on Sat. They set the arm and she has to go see an Orthopedic MD in 5 days after the swelling goes down. We did manager to exercise Sat pm at about 530 pm after visiting her at home. She is actually doing very well. Then, to top things off my grandson ended up with a tooth abcess and is now on Antibiotics, all most had to admit him to hosp. for IV antibiotics. He will need to go get a tooth pulled tomorrow. So now that is my week end, watching grandkids, or visiting them with treats and presents. H ah haha. Well, hope your week end was better than mine.

Plugging along

Hi, haven't blogged in a couple days. All going well. What a work out tonight. Riley says we are getting stronger, still trying to come up with a team name. Any suggestions? Running into alot of you at the gym, keep up the good work. I won't be at the nutrition class in the am, have to be at work, but Eric will get all the info for me. We are doing the Weight Watcher diet and are having more success with that. Well that's all for now, talk with you later.

Another week

Starting another week! Wow, how time flies by. It was good to see so many people at the gym today. We are all working very hard arent we? I am so proud of my husband, he has been doing wonderful and inspires me to do as well. This is so good for his heart and I never forget how lucky we are to have been chosen. We are excited to get in shape and participate in the run at the end of our program. Can you believe that we will actually be doing a 5 K run at the end? Never in my life did I think we would be doing this.

ALOT OF FUN

We had so much fun at the class yesterday. It gave us such a good work out and lots of laughs. Thanks for setting this up for all of us. I had such a good time yesterday, that I decided to buy an aerobic dvd to work out with at home. Boy is my body sore, 2 days in a row. Wishing everyone a good week ahead.

Energy levels

Has anyone else noticed how our energy levels are up? I have had more energy and have been sleeping much better with the exercise. My husband also feels much better since we started this program. The class was very informative this am, and I actually learned alot. Thanks to everyone for your advice. We are going to the movie and dinner tomorrow night, and I so hope we have the will power to be good. Just learning about the popcorn this am has already made me decide not to have any. Ha ha.

Thank you all for help with diet and meal ideas

I am so impressed on how helpful people have been to me in the meal concerns that I have!!!! You are all so great, and it is nice to make new friendships in this event. Thanks, again. Today, even in the snow storm we made it to the gym, and what a work out. Just when you think it is getting eaiser, Riley ups the work out. Ha ha ha. Too soon for results?

Is it too soon for results? I find that my clothes are fitting a little looser. OR could it be my imagination? Either way, I am feeling good and just glad to have this opportunity. I am looking forward to the 80's dance class on Sat. it should be a blast. I am still trying to figure out the diet plan. Hope Friday we will get more information that will click the light on for me.

Love Riley our trainer

Another great work out with Riley. He is really great to work with. Pushes us to do better and is so nice about it that you find you are doing more and more without really being aware. I am finding that I have a hard time with the carb diet thing because I don't really get it. I need some ideas, suggestions and maybe some meal plans. I hope this Friday some of this will be given to us. It is always fun to see all of you at the gym, I think we are all working very hard. Keep up the great work, and we will see you at the local hang out, the gym.

Energy

I have noticed that I really do have a lot more energy . I don't just come home and veg on the sofa. Do es this mean there is really something to this exercise stuff? Ha ha ha. It has really been nice to see all our other teammates at the gym, we are all really working hard to improve our health. Another day tomorrow with Riley the trainer. Oh dear, Advil here I come :). I also need to say that I am very proud of my husband for all the hard work he has been doing! It really is better to have a partner isn't it? To everyone: Keep up the hard work.

OUCH

Worked out again with Riley and OUCH is the word for tonight. Glad to have him helping us, and what is the saying: No pain No gain. I am anxious for Friday to get the nutrition information as 2 weeks is too long to wait. I enjoy seeing all of you at the gym. Keep up the good work. Hi, another week has passed and we are doing great. The exercise program is going well, and I am learning that I actually feel alot better when I do exercise. I have lost 4 pounds this past week and I am so excited!!!! Tomorrow is another day with Riley our trainer, and it will be a push push push day. exercise exercise exercise

Hi, yep thats what we have been doing all week. We met with our trainer (Riley) tonight. He is awesome and patient with us. Believe it or not we are already stronger in only 4 days. This program is going to make a world of difference in our health, we are so happy to have been chosen. Tomorrow am we will go to the first nutrition class, and hope this goes as well as our exercise program has been going. I have to admit that I am a little scared to learn this new program to lose weight, but I am willing to try. Alternative eating?? Should be interesting. I will let you know!!

On our way!!!

Hi, well everyday this week we have been exercising!!! It really is a good feeling. This is the motivation that my husband and I needed. We are going to be working with Riley to help us improve our health with the E word "exercise". So far, so good. I have already noticed that I don't need to eat everything I see (ha ha ha). We are so happy to be part of this wonderful program and thankful that we were one of the lucky couples chosen. All our family and friends are already such a great support system for us, with daily calls to make sure all is going well. We will keep you posted on the progress. Thanks for everyone's support!!!
